Oklahoma City Laboratories
The Metrology Laboratory provides full service measurement and calibration services, including precision measurement, inspection, and reverse engineering. The lab uses coordinate measuring machines, a circular form measurement system (concentricity table), a contour projector (optical comparator), precision measuring instruments, and National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) traceable reference standards. The laboratory was established in 1994 and has grown to include a 3,000 sq ft controlled access and atmosphere area for inspection and calibration.
The Materials and Mechanical Testing Laboratories provide full-service materials identification, reverse engineering, failure and forensic analysis, mechanical testing and corrosion testing. In addition to the primary lab area are the mechanical testing areas of 150 sq ft and the corrosion laboratory area of 450 sq ft. The laboratories have two metallurgical engineers on staff with experience in ferrous and non-ferrous production and fabrication. The laboratory was established in 1994, and has grown to 3,000 sq ft.
The Nondestructive Inspection Laboratory provides complete inspection services to evaluate structural components. The 3,000 sq ft facility incorporates an area for inspection and a radiographic vault with automatic film processing. In addition, heavy, high-powered production inspection systems are located within the main building high bay area. The laboratory carries the FAA Air Agency Repair Station Certification with the limited rating of nondestructive inspection, testing, and processing.
