ARINC and Korea's POSDATA Will Market

Annapolis, Maryland—ARINC Incorporated today announced an agreement with POSDATA, a leading Korean IT consultant and integrator, to pursue opportunities for government information, customs, and immigration data services in Latin America. The companies signed a Memorandum of Understanding on October 29th.
A global leader in aviation networking, ARINC delivers passenger and cargo data in many forms for use by governments, customs, and immigration agencies. POSDATA is an established Asian provider of the “back end” systems used to process data for immigration, customs, taxation and security. The two companies plan joint marketing activities based on their complementary technologies and market presence, with initial projects in Paraguay.

Under the partnership, POSDATA will be able to leverage ARINC’s global presence and core solutions to greatly broaden its geographic reach in Latin America and other regions.
The company also expects to penetrate related commercial and business markets with advanced IT solutions.
Both companies foresee large demands for customs and immigration systems in the Latin America region, and they are performing business feasibility studies. They are already collaborating on a proposal to modernize a 5-year-old POSDATA immigration data system that is currently used by the government of Paraguay. The enhancements would include new data analysis capability, greater integration with other government systems, increased communications capabilities for real-time processing of information, and a technology refresh of system hardware peripherals.
