ARINC Offers Messaging Workshop at GHI Conference on Cost-Saving Strategies for Ground Handlers
November 5, 2009
Annapolis, Maryland—Not all Type B business messaging services are the same. Today’s users often find major differences between network providers in terms of their pricing, the level of support available, and the efficiency of their user applications.
Cost-saving strategies for today’s ground handlers will be the subject of a business messaging workshop hosted by ARINC Incorporated on November 16, 2009 at the Ground Handlers International Conference in Naples, Italy. Discussion will center on ways to obtain improved messaging services while driving down overall network costs.
Laura Petrozziello, Sales & Business Manager Aviation Solutions, ARINC EMEA, will explore many choices available to messaging customers today—including recent changes in Type B service offerings and enhancements of Type B user applications.
“As a leading network provider, ARINC has pioneered many advanced features like automatic protocol translation for ‘any-to-any’ connectivity that simplifies our customers’ business,” states Petrozziello. “We have also incorporated many customer suggestions, making our Type B messaging applications the most user-friendly available today. ARINC offers several flexible pricing plans including a flat rate option. We can often save new customers as much as 60% of their messaging costs.”
Whether ground handlers and partners use older legacy systems or new technology, ARINC’s AviNet® messaging backbone has “any-to-any” interoperability built in. Ground handling companies can pick the technology that best suits their applications, without worrying about the technology choices of their partners.
The AviNet suite of messaging solutions includes AviNet Global Partner ConnectTM for efficient Type A host-to-host messaging; AviNet Type B for IATA Type B standard store-and-forward messaging; and AviNet eXchange, an open messaging solution that allows ground handlers to use new applications with Web Services and XML, while still meeting stringent industry requirements for security and message assurance.
ARINC’s Type B access products are built on ARINC’s technologically advanced AviNet platform and deliver unsurpassed reliability and user-friendly operation.
AviNet Mail makes sending Type B messages as easy as sending e-mail; AviNet Connector provides a communications protocol suite and converts user application data and messages to Type B; AviNet MQ Over the Internet bridges legacy and modern systems; AviNet Fax is a low-cost fax solution for low-volume users; and AviNet FTP uses FTP to send and receive Type B messages.
The ARINC messaging workshop for ground handlers is scheduled for Monday afternoon, November 16, from 3:30 to 4:15 p.m. at the Hilton Sorrento Palace Hotel. Information will also be available at ARINC Stand 29, along with a live AviNet demonstration. Conference registration is available at www.groundhandling.com.
