Under the contract, ARINC will compete for a wide range of indefinite delivery/ indefinite quantity (ID/IQ) task orders in support of all U.S. Air Force managed weapons systems and Special Missions programs. The contracting agency is Warner Robins Air Logistics Center at Robins Air Force Base, GA. ARINC supports a growing number of Air Force programs at its Warner Robins offices, including work under the DESP-2 and CR2 contracts, and subcontract work under the Air Force’s previous FAST contract, which is currently expiring. “ARINC’s Advanced Systems Development group and our Aircraft Modernization & Special Mission Programs team are strategically positioned to capture a significant share of the new work coming down under F2AST at Warner Robins,” stated Mike Young, Vice President, Aerospace Systems & Support, ARINC Engineering Services. “F2AST is a powerful opportunity for us to leverage our years of advanced aircraft systems experience into a much broader role in support of the U.S. Air Force.” Individual task requirements under F2AST will include system modifications, development, repairs, depot maintenance, and one-time spares and repairs which qualify as critical, limited, and/or contingency and sole-source services. In addition, services that are not reasonably severable from development, modification or depot maintenance efforts may also be included. Robins Air Force Base is one of the Air Force’s most active centers for aircraft modernization, modification, and maintenance. Among the systems supported are C-130s, C-5s, and F-15s.
