ARINC's AIM Security Technology Is Chosen to Protect U.S. Strategic Petroleum ReservesApril 17, 2008Annapolis, Maryland—ARINC Incorporated will provide its Advanced Information Management (AIM®) electronic security and control platform to the United States Department of Energy (DOE) for monitoring and control of security at the U.S. Strategic Petroleum Reserve (SPR). ARINC’s AIM technology was selected as the new high-level Alarm Display and Annunciation System (ADAS) for multiple Strategic Petroleum Reserve sites. The AIM system will integrate a range of government-furnished security equipment and provide enhanced physical security. It will also allow intra-site monitoring under both normal and emergency conditions. ARINC’s AIM system uses an open-platform design which will allow straightforward integration of vital security functions such as access control, IP video management, intrusion detection, and audio recording. ARINC will also supply enhanced software applications for complete and comprehensive situational awareness at the SPR.
