Air China Selects AviNet Airport by ARINC for New Wide-Area Network Connections

Singapore—Air China Limited, China’s national flag carrier, has selected the cost-effective AviNet® Airport IP network service from ARINC Incorporated to support its newest international passenger operations in Japan, Vietnam, and the Russian Federation.

“Having reliable online capability for our international Departure Control Systems is critical to maintaining Air China’s efficient operations and our robust check-in infrastructure,” stated Mr. Zhu Song Yan, director of Air China’s IT management dept. “We weighed both cost and performance in choosing a wide-area network partner, and ARINC’s flat-rate pricing and track record of reliability satisfied our requirements completely.”

ARINC has started AviNet Airport deployments for Air China at Fukuoka International Airport in Japan, Tan Son Nhat International Airport in Saigon, and Sheremetyevo International Airport in Moscow. Air China’s passenger operations make use of advanced ARINC i MUSETM common-use check-in systems already installed at the airports.
